External Hard Drive letters

I have 4 external hard drives attached to my Windows 7 system. I need the drive letters to stay constant because of the program access to them. Is there any way to lock that drive letter down, so that no matter which drive I turn on, the letter is constant,

Some possibilities here: It was written for XP but may work with Windows 7. Assign a drive letter to USB external hard drive

If you assign the high letters (with Disk management) like X,Y,Z, they will most likely not change.
