was using pc last night and the surrounding area lost power supply.
Had a gut feeling some damage will occur. I was right, looks like everything is working apart from the ssd booting. at boot up it goes through bios screens etc and then a black screen with reinsert boot media device(or words to that effect), so i went into bios and my secondary hdd is showing along with a dvd drive though have 2(will double check,1 aint damaged) in the boot menu but no sign of the ssd.
So obviously im assuming a new ssd is needed, but could i be in luck and something else is preventing boot.
Longshot that its something other than a defunct ssd, with a new one i suppose the only option is a clean install.
While im here any recommendations on a UPS, and btw my system did have surge protection if its relevant
Cheers guys
