Solved Extra Windows Login Security

Hello,

I am looking to install a third party piece of software that will allow me to enter another password at the Windows Login Screen.

Does anyone know what software can do this?

I have already enabled this though I want another layer of protection.

I don't know of one that gives and extra password at logon, but you can use syskey to add one at boot if that is any good to you.

I wouldn't need it on boot. Just want it on the general lock screen.

Two passwords don't provide any additional security in comparison to a single, longer password.
What you should look into if you want more security is some form of two factor authentication.
Some examples may include face recognition, fingerprint reader or a hardware module.
A better option of course is to go for full-disk encryption, where additional passwords are asked at boot. Also this prevents anyone to put the hard disk in another computer and bypass Windows at all.

What about setting up a boot password via the bios? Some systems allow that but could be dangerous if you forget the password.

What kind of problem are you trying to solve that you want two passwords?
