Solved Failure to open e-mail attachmens

When I click on a attachment in a e-mail I receive the message "This file does not have a program to associated with it for performing this action and so forth".Could you please help me solve this problem.

You either have a file sent to you that needs a certain program to associate with or you already have the program but the association hasn't been set yet.

Can you tell me the file's extension type; Is it .exe, .psd, .pps, .pdf, .mov, .mp3, .mp4 or something else?

Open"Default Programs"and click on See your default programs and then click on each file in the box and then click on "Set this program as default".This took about ten minutes at the most.Hope this will be of help.
