fatal error during installation of office

pls help me.. am using lenovo g580 laptop.. windows 7 ultimate..64 bit.. when i try to open office software it shows a error message as fatal error during installation office 7.. pls help me to tackle this problem

Please supply more information. What version of Microsoft Office are you having trouble with. Is this a legal copy of Office & has not been installed on any other computer before.

Have you actually got Office installed or are you having trouble installing it.

Actually I had a prob with my lap top n so I had got it serviced..they had installed everything new.. now when I try to open ms office files it displays some configuration is setting up n later installing ms office n next fatal error during installing..

It's already installed in my laptop n when I try to open word or any ms office file this prob occurs.. I had 2007 before n now too the same version m trying to install..

It has been installed properly but couldn't open any new document of office or I can create a new one...

I would suggest you uninstall Office 2007 then reboot and reinstall it, see if that fixes the problem.

I've manually uninstalled it and reinstalled..still the same problem occurs..

Have a read through this MS website & follow the listed directions on uninstalling Office 2007. It has to be completely uninstalled completely or the re installation can give trouble.
