When you click on the favorites link to open up your favorites menu, a "favorites bar" is listed. This "favorites bar" link is useless and I have repeatedly right clicked on it to delete it from the menu. However, it returns on its own every so often.

There is also a link called "software updates" that I deleted and it has not repopulated itself.

Is there any way to delete the "favorites bar" link inside favorites so that it does not return?

Just a little anoyance I would like to win.

Yes, I do that but the favorites bar returns on its own.

Any way to prevent it from returning on its own?

I was able to deleted it after switching to IE9 RC. It was few weeks ago, and it hasn't come back since.

It seems any time you clear out cookies, or temp files, etc... The favorites folder will reappear on its own. I don't have to do anything else for it to reappear.

I deleted the software update folder and it has never come back, It is just this annoying favorites folder that will not go away.

Thanks for the help just the same.
