File Access Errors despite being User Admin

I'm trying to register a couple music products but can't because of file access errors. I've never had this problem until a couple weeks ago. It seems that during the authentication process, it accepts the key but cannot write the actual authentication file to the disk.

When I right click the authentication software and go to properties, it says I have full control except 'special permissions' which I don't think I had even before it WAS working. I also have the 'run as administrator' option checked. I am logged in under the only admin account so I have no idea what's causing the problem at this point. There's no programs running and using the same software at the same time. I even downloaded a program called UnLock IT which is supposed to unlock any kind of restrictions set on the file but the program says its completely 100% accessible and has no restrictions either.

I'm kind of at a standstill with this whole thing but want to use the software for my projects. Googling the software with the problem gets me nowhere either.

The two programs in question are 'Plug and Mix VIP bundle' (which I've redownloaded from their official site twice), and Positive Grid Bias Bundle (This was authenticated and working and then stopped and went into demo mode).

Help me out guys

do you know were its writing the file to the folder it could be anywhere or is it writing it to the registery. Are you using the software activator exe or the program to activate it

Exactly which directory received the downloads? Exactly which directory or directories were you wanting the install to use? Reason for asking: certain directories, certain paths to certain directories are off-limits to anyone except Windows Prime; i.e., one example is: Users [acct name] Application Data - cannot be accessed by anyone other than Windows Prime; while AppData can be accessed all day long anytime by end-user [and of course, Windows Prime].

It's only trying to access the main 'my documents' folder. I can even see the license file from the previous working activation within the directory. I added the right click 'take ownership' option and took ownership of my entire 'my documents' folder and tried again but still failed.

wowwww. So upon further investigation on the directory ABOVE my documents folder, users/'Aspen' in my case, my account's folder was set to read only for some random ****ing reason and after fixing that, my authentications started working.

So glad this is working now. Cheers!

EDIT: So I may have marked this as resolved a little prematurely. One of the programs started working after unchecking read-only on the entire 'my documents' directory, but the other program is locked stubbornly on 'read only'. Every time I try and uncheck it on the folder 'plug and mix' (residing in my documents), it pops into read-only mode again. I cannot seem to get it out of read-only mode. Is there a registry entry that could be causing this?

I wanted to Bump this since I'm still having read/write problems with only one of the programs now. It's still stuck in read-only mode no matter where I throw the folder and I can't force it out of it. Anyone?
