I have a copy of my maths assignment (my most recent version...which is not backed up) that I have been unable to open. The error is:

The file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Details: The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag. Location: Part:/word/document.xml, Line: 2, Column: 12620.

Does anyone happen to know how to correct this error? I am working with Word 2010.

Many thanks!

To fix this problem would requires knowledge of XML, if you make a copy of the document and rename the extension to a .zip and open it you can see the .docx package contents. The document.xml is the file that needs to be edited, it is located in the word folder. If your not able to edit this yourself, attach the document to a post and i will have a look at it for you, alternatively you can send me a PM and i will give you an email address to send the document to for myself to have a look at, either way.
