Hello Hkuenph,

Do you still have the page file set to be system managed for the C: drive (Windows 7 drive)? If the page file was turned off, then it could sometimes give you this type of memory error for some programs.

Mr. Shawn

Have checked. Yes. I still have the page file set to be system managed. And its size is 2048-10240.

Is 2048-10240MB still not enough?

That should be perfectly fine.

I'm not sure what may causing the error. Possibly a issue with the program.

Thank you very much, Mr. Shawn!

I checked this problem on PhotoCap forum and found a very few others having the same
problem. Most do not have this problem.

The machine I am using is originally installed with Windows Vista Home Premium 32b.
I added 4 GB of RAM and installed Windows 7 Pro. 64b.
Could this be the cause of the problem?

Thank you!

You might check at the PhotoCap site to see if there may be a update, patch, or new version of the program available that may have resolved this issue.

Yrs, Mr. Shawn

I checked with PhotoCap.
The version I now use is PhotoCap 4.31.
The new version is PhotoCap 5.01.
No matter what version is used on my machine, the same problem pops up.

Thank you!

I'm not familiar with this program, so I'm not sure what else to suggest with it except that you might contact the program's developer to see if it may be a known issue, or to report this issue. Hopefully they will be able to come up with a solution, or some here that knows more about this program may be able to help. :(

FWIW:
Is the possiblity that your video driver could be a part of the problem.
your spec's on acer show:

VideoIntel® G45 on-die graphics solution:
• DVMT 5.0 technology support
• Enhanced 3D and Intel® Clear Video Technology support
PCI Express® 2.0 x16 graphics card support

It looks to me that your video card is on the motherboard.?
If so and in the bios is there an option to increase the video ram?

this is just a shot in the dark but are the other people having problems with this
program and large graphics also using on-board graphics cards?

Again, welcome to the windows 7 forums..

Rich
