Hello, this is a long story and ill include as much detail so itll be a thorough diagnosis of what is going on with my laptop. So, the problem started early this summer, my computer was doing fine until one day it crashed. The first crashes were green and purple screens, I needed to turn the power off and on to restart it. The weird thing is that it just came out of the blue, there were no weird things going on before that. So after that day the crashes started to come more often. First it was 1 a day apart, then it was 2 days and the more often. It came to the point that every time I played a video game it crashed, but it was fine in the desktop. But then, after some days it started crashing in the desktop. So finally, I sent it off to repairs. It came back and there was only 1 check in the paper that stated what they repaired. It was "Windows Operating System reinstall". When I saw that I was pretty sure the problem was going to come back fairly soon. So, to my surprise, the computer worked fine for 4 days. And then the crashes started coming again. Frustrated (this is my 2nd alienware with problems and the 4 time Ive sent one to repair), I just put the laptop aside into the desktop, it wasnt connected to the power the entire time. So finally, today, I try to see how its doing. I connect the power and I try to turn it on, and its not turning on. Ive tried draining the remaining power by removing the battery and pressing the button. Ive tried turning it on without the battery and nothing is happening. There is a feint click after I press the button. Please help, Im super frustrated with Alienware, i want to know whats going on to see If I have to send it back again.

Ordonuk mate hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but I had an individual earlier this week with very similar issues as you but the only difference was it was a new desktop that I had set up for him about six months ago.
The upshot was it would not boot even into safe mode and it was ending up with just a black screen or not turning one whatever I advised him to try and eventually he had to return it to Lenovo and the motherboard was bricked from what we don't know = power surge etc ? Maybe this has happened to your wayward machine?
Having said that I suppose you are getting power at the adaptor??

Yh, it did have power. So youre saying the motherboard is probably dead? If it is the case thank you for your help.Oh, I forgot to mention, before I sent it in, the computed crashed and started beeping, I looked up the beep code and it turned out to be a graphics card error. Can this till occur with a broken motherboard?

No mate I ma not saying it is dead just a maybe. One or two things could be the cause as in the power jack or the power switch is broken. It could be anything like that but the fact it happened so catastrophically and after it had been fixed seems not too hopeful.

Now I think if they have fixed the machine fro you so recently it beholds them to look at it again for free. I mean I wouldn't have a car fixed and it break down again so quickly after the mechanic had "fixed" it and expect them to charge me all over again for the second check.
If they are genuine techies then they will do the right thing. If the don't then I guess the only alternative is to take it somewhere else.
