Solved folder access denied !!!

hi,

installed new/fresh win 7 on my c: drive ... i have c d e f hdd partitions ... everything went smooth ... bt my e partion was locked, couldnt access it ... so i did this >> right click on folder >> security >> advance >> changed owner (it was not specified in box) >> ok

& i could access it ... bt just the folder, rest of the contents are locked/access denied ... but how do I unlock it plus all the sub folders/files in it too at the same time ??? its tiring doing above method for all ...

plz help ... thanx

All files will be owned by old user use are take ownership tool and you will have to do the whole drive

Take Ownership incorporates a broad spectrum of file utilities.

I found that a better alternative is to install "Grant Admin Full Control" on your PC.
Then, it shows up in the Right Click Context menu, when you right click on any file or folder.
Once you gain Full Control of that file or folder, you can pretty much do what you want with it.

It's one of the first things I install when setting up any new OS. And it works equally well on any
OS from 7 to 10.

The ver. I use was written back in 2011, but still works great.
