folder location for windows updates

Does anyone know where windows downloads and executes the updates from, the actual folder? I have a program for my microsoft keyboard driver that never fully installed and is starting up everytime the computer reboots or it could be a fluke with microsoft update itself I don't know...But it happens when the computer starts up everytime the program treis to download and install then disappears not finishing the job....any help would be appreciated....

Hello there Seth.

The folder where the downloaded files from windows update are located is:

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

There you'll find different folders with the downloaded files by windows update

I'm cleaning my PC and doing the diskpart thing. Can I copy the stuff from that Folder to my USB Drive, drag it off the USB Drive to that folder and have the updates?
