I have a windows 8.1 laptop
i had stored some movies in my external hard disk, but after a few days when I plugged in my hard drive those movies won't show up. I saw few blogs and followed the folder options method and then saw that my files are hidden. I didn't choose the option of hiding them when i was storing movies in it and suddenly these files are hidden and will only appear if i check the option of "view hidden files".
Can someone please explain why does this happen, and are these files a potential threat to my laptop's security ?
Is there any way we can unhide those files so that they appear as normal files?
