Folder Redirection.

Hi all,

Dont know if you can help...

We have been running folder redirection, Redirecting users My Documents path only.

We used to have users my documents pointed to NAS001 however we are now pointing this to a totally different hostname. We have moved the files across with permissions and changed the settings within Group Policys however on users workstations we can still see the old server and the files are trying to be backed up to the old server. We can see that the Windows XP workstations that the users are using are reading from Group Policys because it has added the new server below the old server...

Does anyone know anyway I cant stop Windows XP looking for that old server on logon and logoff.

I have tried regedit and changing a few settings in there... thats not worked.. I have evgen tried disconnecting the workstation from the domain resetting the workstation and reconnecting to the domain but the machine is still looking for the old NAS001 Server to sync My documents on logon & logoff.

Any help would be great.

You should be able to use group policy editor for that. I'm not sure about the exact settings that are responsible for this. This link talks about folder redirection using GPE.
