The top-level folder is in the left pane, and doesn't ever show the files. The files are shown in the righthand pane. It's normally that way; you don't have to tweak anything.

Thanks RoWin7,

that's right.

but the file names on the subfolder should not be shown or visible in the main folder.

example:
Document: (Main folder: folder under is : MEMO, FORM, REPORTS)
files in the memo and forms folder should not be visible in the DOCUMENT folder, but it is, in case.
How should I do that files will be only visible in the folder itself?

Thanks

Thank you.

I have separated files in separate folders.

DOCUMENT (main folder)
FORMS (Sub folder under Document folder)
REPORT (another subfolder under Document folder)
MINUTES (another subfolder within Document folder)

the filenames in any of the subfolder are visible or displayed in the DOCUMENT Folder.
example: MOVINGFORM.PDF is stored in FORMS folder, but the MOVINGFORM.PDF name is also shown in the DOCUMENT folder.

What setting in Windows Explorer that filenames should only be visible in the folder wherein it is stored. In my example, MOVINGFORM.PDf should only be seen when I browse the FORMS folder and NOT visible in the DOCUMENT folder.

also other files in other folders should not be visible in the main folder.

Thanks again.
