PowerPoint is the main only application thats missing from the starter addition. But it's an important one and what are the "slimed down" versions of Word and Excel missing?

Forgot about that one - especially with uni and stuff.
Other than that, what percentage of functionality do average users utilize within the office suite?

I'm a pretty low level user of the office style applications myself....and I switched over to Open Office a few years ago as I wasn't willing to pay for Microsoft Office at home and I haven't had any real problems at all. If there was a missing feature I could just use the copy of MS Office on my work laptop...but this really hasn't been an issue for me.
