Solved Free Sound Recorder

I used to successfully use Free MP3 Sound Recorder on my old XP computer. Having installed it again with 7, I cannot get it to work except with the microphone. My 'select source device' window is shown below. What setting have I not set?

Alternatively, can anyone suggest an alternative free programme to download for streaming audio please

If you are trying to record system sounds you need to activate Sound Mix.
Please try this tutorial.

You can stream almost anything with VLC.

Thanks for your replies. I have now found and enabled Stereo Mix in Recording Devices and it works fine.
