im pretty sure its just a bootloader change as even the slightest change can change the hash...

Im making a sfv of the technet x86 which you should be able to check for any changes...

edit: its all done...
use quicksfv to verify (which is what i used to make the crc hashes..

i should mention that you have to copy the whole iso to a folder (and inserting the sfv file in the root folder so that it can verify all the hashed files...

The 'Help' ain't too definitive, either.
This is as far as I could go:

Save File List allows the list of files which are (the same, different, only in left or only in right) to be saved.
In addition, a checksum for each file can be saved.
Copy Files… leads to a dialog allowing you to write the files to a disk.
This can be useful if you are trying to synchronise two directories.

Doesn't make much difference, tho, since all files are 'identical'.
The discrepancy has to be in the binary boot-code...

A friend of mine called me from Phoenix today to say to get to the event early as they ran out of seats even though he had his confirmation, etc. Was still able to get the Ultimate, 32 bit DVD & goodie bag. Apparently MS is overbooking the event.

We didn't talk specifics as each city is going to have different levels of interest in attending. I am in St. Louis--not a hotbed of technology. I would think showing up an hour in advance would probably be sufficient.

Officially they are giving out Windows 7 Ultimate with 32-bit media and a cd key. If you do not want to use the 32-bit version of Windows 7...you are on your own to come up with the 64-bit media (perhaps from a friend with MSDN access or such), and then you can use the key that Microsoft provides to activate that copy of the OS.

I'll be going to the Detroit class as well. I've got a group of fellas from my current job and past job who will be attended as well.

There is a 180-day evaluation of Win Server 2008 R2, various flavors,

on a DVD in the white package. x64 sw only.

FYI - Okay, so I was able to get a copy of Win 7 X64 from a pal (MSDN version RTM?). Installed and using the SN from 32 bit DVD sleeve it registered just fine.
