Hello,

I have recently had trouble with Intel graphics drivers and reinstalled these. I was having trouble with random BSODs and freezes.

After a re-install of the intel graphics files this has stopped the BSODs but I am still getting random freezes while playing high end games like BF3 and Crysis 3.

SFC /SCANNOW returns no integrity violations.

Can anyone suggest what the problems might be and how I can go about fixing?

Thanks,

Nevica

Your Graphics card should handle those games without any problems. What I do not understand is why you would install Intel Graphics on a Nvidia based card. Go to The Nvidia site and download the latest WHQL drivers and The Geforce Experience. It adjusts your Graphics to the game that you are playing. I can play both games without lag and I just have a GTX 460.

Intel has basic graphics drivers in the OS to run graphics cards when the Nvidia driver isn't installed. These are the files to which I am referring.

Yes, you are right. My graphics card has been handling them no problem but recently I have been having freezes. I have not changed any graphics card settings.

If you have Microsoft OS then you have basic graphics drivers installed.

If you didn't have these you wouldn't see anything on your screen when you boot up from scratch ie without an Nvidia card installed. I cannot answer why the OS needs these files even when |Nvidia drivers are installed but it does.

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit and the default drivers are from Windows Update , I believe they are WBEM or some such name. I just looked at all of my drivers and the only Intel drivers I have are for the Chipset and Kernal. I also have a MSI MOBO. I am now confused with this.

Ok, they may not be drivers as such but they are programs which come with Windows 7. I think the suite of programs is related to dxdiag.

Try dxdiag in your search bar and run the .exe

For sure maybe someone will have a better solution. I never get any drivers from Windows Update, their patches cause me enough problems. Should be getting some in about 3 hours or so (Patch Tuesday):p

I have run OCCT and get the following error when running CPU:OCCT.

Almost immediately when ramping up it returns an error on CPU3.

CPU:LINPACK returns an error after about 15 minutes.

How can I go about finding the cause of this please.
