You may have things running in the background which are causing the freezing. Try what I posted at this link:

BSOD - Normally 1st StartUp and after 15 Minute Usage

In this post, I discuss how to stop the non-Microsoft services, one at a time, to see if any of them are causing the problem.

What is the picture uploading service you are using that is causing a freeze?

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?

You can try Speedof.me which is not Flash-based but rather HTML5-based for Internet speed checks.

MSCONFIG should not really be used. Instead, try the more powerful tool called Autoruns. Go through each tab and look to see if you have junk that shouldn't auto start. But be very careful. I can't stress that enough. DO NOT disable or delete anything you know nothing about. Doing so could have adverse effects to your PC.

You might also be interested in the program Freefixer. You can research each module found with the links provided. But once again. DO NOT delete anything you know nothing about. Do your research. FreeFixer

The quality of upload speed is dependent on many conditions, the main one is all the steps in the route between your system and the upload site, if even one of these steps has an issue, (temporarily or full time), and is working at less than optimum then this will reduce the total available bandwidth - this can cause freezes but the main issues will normally be the system at either end your PC or the actual upload site. one other consideration is the actual upload speed you have, this is rarely the same as the quoted download speed, it's often 10% of download or less.

As stated above there could be less essential programs running at start which is throttling the available RAM and Processor cycles.

The other advice I would give is the ignore totally any of these supposed FIXIT programs, My and others experience on these forums has come to the conclusion that 99.99% of them are useless snake oil, they may appeal to the inexperienced but are actually more likely to damage your system than to help - there is no silver bullet solutions

One thing that may help in your case is try to schedule large or complex uploads when the local Internet is quiet - Overnight

Few ISPs give other than an UPTO download/upload speed for a reason - so many things can prevent you from reaching the best speed possible

FreeFixer is not "snake oil." Go to their website and learn about it. It will help remove malware and adware, etc.
