Solved Freezing While Resuming from Hibernation

It actually appears that your network driver is the last actual driver to be called, almost immediately before the system's CPUs go into deep sleep power states (and then hibernation occurs). It isn't obvious what the hang could be here, but I'm wondering if you are able to reproduce it with your network card(s) disabled in device manager?

Apologies for not getting back sooner, but I've been busy with college work (final exam time...). I just did a test of hibernating the computer with a few applications open. When I resumed after hibernating with my network drivers enabled, the system hung. When I restarted, reopened the same applications, and disabled the drivers, the system didn't hang. By the way, the drivers I disabled were for wired and wireless networks (Ethernet and Wi-Fi). I didn't touch the Bluetooth drivers.

I checked on the Dell website and there are some updated network drivers. Hopefully when I download them, they'll fix the problem. Thanks for pointing this out.

Which are you using, wired or wireless?

I actually use both. I plug in an Ethernet cable when I'm in my dorm since it gives a better, more stable connection for gaming in my spare time. When I'm in class, I use the Wi-Fi.

This is almost always a driver issue, if not Display then Network. So update drivers and test it by setting Sleep at 1 minute and Hibernate at 2 minutes.

Next test all of the installed display and Network drivers in Device Manager by choosing Driver tab>Update Driver>Browse>Let Me CHoose. Ignore Standard VGA.
