It would be very helpful if you told us what laptop you're dealing with.

That would be especially true if it manufacturer doesn't support XP on it. (May be possible to get it running with XP drivers from other sources.)

Using Intel Sata Controller Drivers:

Take a look at step 11.(option Multple Drivers)



Choose both setup inf files.

Choose all drivers.

Choose all sata controllers.

oky i did as you said but the disk is not booting up the screen is black with white "-" flickering.....

the disk shows perfect in my computer on my pc...it shows the logo and everything looks legit like a bootable disk but doesn't boot

problem was with DVD RW....used a normal dvd and now its booting just hoping, praying it loads

while setup was loading it said iaStor.sys is corrupted.....what do i do?

Your corrupted ISO is down to
bad downloads
bad Win XP CD
bad burning CD drive
bad reading CD drive
Try & find a Win XP with sp2.
