Front panel headphone jack problems

Sorry Gibber,
I had the same problem as U and I saw that Asus made some up for my M2N-SLI deluxe on W7 x64.

I hope that U can find your driver. try to look in Nvidia.
good luck,

High Definition Drivers Worked

Hi All. I had this problem too. I am running Windows7 on a Biostar MCP6PB M2+. My front headphone jack did not work either until I loaded the High Definition Audio Drivers for the board. After that, everything was great. Hope that helps someone.

I had the same problem of dead front panel audio port, i had a go at it several times, tried out a bunch of different stuff, nothing seemed to help, in the end what helped for me was going to asus page, find audio driver for my motherboard, which can be autodetected or manualy selected, download and install it. Attention it did not work even after rebooting my PC!! So lastly with little hope i went to control pannel under sound and devices as with so many previous drivers i installed and uninstalled, found the just installed driver, played a bit with its settings (turning on of different speakers to headphone settings) and suddenly works like charm.

I installed a soundblaster sound card, after which the front panel headphone and microphone jacks do not work. How do I repair them?
Bob

That was the question I was going ask. Then I started looking around the forum and found some hints.

Number one was to look in the BIOS for AC97, but all I had was "Onboard Audio" set to "auto", so I set it "enabled". I guess that enabled the system to recognize the "realtek Audio" on the system?

Then I went to sound control, and voila all of the "realtek audio" was there. Then I made sure all were emabled. Then I tested the front jacks with my Logitech headphone and they worked.
