gadget problem. please help me!!!

run sfc. it must be typed correctly in order to run.

from an elevated command prompt, type: sfc /scannow

take note of the space after "sfc", no space after the forward slash, and no space in "scannow". if it only runs a few seconds, or you dont get a summary screen, you typed it wrong.

haiz,,, i got think of system restore, but i did not create the earlier restore point before this gadget problem......
furthermore, when i start up my lappy, message will pop up and said that certain .dll file missing.....

run this first. if it doesnt work, you may have a recent restore point you can go back to.

did you get a message in the command prompt window, after running sfc, or did the window just close?

did you try system restore to see if you even have any restore points?

do you have any antivirus programs? if not, see if you can download microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes. see if they find anything.

i have microsoft security essentials,last time it detected got trojan, but i cleaned it oledi

please run a full antivirus scan, and download and run malwarebytes. there is no point trying to fix gadgets on an infected computer. and you could also download spybot search & destoy for good measure. both programs have free versions.

i have run malwarebytes, total 9 items was infected? do i need to register the program?

i believe registration is optional, but you will have to update the definition files manually.
