No, that is not what I mean.
I said that my father sponsor me that much, and I spend extra myself.
So is enough :)

Well, when I get the processor, motherboard and RAM installed, I will tell you :)
And I already install the older version of the driver, that you gave me the link from intel.
Well I click install, and it just instant complete, without removing newer version of the driver or anything...
So?
This processor, AMD Athlon II X2 250 AM3, is it older than Intel core i5 2500?

Okay...
Well last time you did gave me a link to download a driver right? (I asked you about the two front USB port that cannot detect anything) So I just click yes when promoted by the installer to replace the older version.
But the thing is that the process of "replacing" isn't done or something. It just pop, and is done after I click install.
No extraction or anything happen.
I just asking the AMD Athlon II X2 250 AM3, is it better than i5? I suppose not right? My friend buy a processor because his processor burnt down.

The AMD is no way better than the i5... The i5 is your getting is one of the best processors out there, and the best bang for buck processor currently.

Well, I wouldn't say AMD is 'better' or 'worse'. AMD is an alternative that some love or hate. I'm an Intel person mostly because a fair deal of the games and programs just code for the Intel Chipset. The AMD chipset has its quirks when it goes against the Intel Chipset programming that will require the occasional software patch to avoid the quirks.

Just understand that Intel Chips have the brute force method down to a science and AMD has a different means to do that method, which is why they have 'PR' ratings, Performance Rating equivalents, because they implement handling certain 'rudimentary' parts as fast as the brute force method, but sometimes those implementations don't compensate for other brute force methods that the Intel Chips excel at.

Also AMDs will tend to run a bit hotter than Intel on some processes, so you want to be sure you have a good cooling system and expect to feel a bit more heat from AMD based systems.

@Keiichi25 - Right. But I was talking about the specific AMD the OP had mentioned compared to the i5-2500. The i5-2500 is easily better than AMD's best processor available (Bulldozer will compete with Sandy Bridge).

BTW, I say this mostly because I know there are AMD type people who will beat you with a stick over saying anything bad about it. Or people who think Intel is the evil empire next to Apple and all.

The pure gist of it all is, AMD makes ok cheap processors, but the two problems that come up for gaming is:

1) Heat - AMD will be hotter than an Intel.
2) In the past, AMD uses shortcuts to get their processors at lower clock speeds to perform at an Intel at a higher level. The problem in the past will often times be the implementation of calculations AMD does will sometimes fubar what some games coded for Intel is looking for and will give weird results at time. This may have been fixed in the last few years (Haven't kept up with it too much), but people should not expect the PR of an AMD processor to be the same as the Intel due to the calculation methods.

In the end, doesn't matter which processor you go with, so long as you go in with the proper knowledge and understanding what is entailed.

Trust me, I respect and like AMD, but right now, if I would be off to buy a processor, I would get an Intel Sandy Bridge. When AMD releases Bulldozer... That changes things.
