Alot of the games nowadays are incompatible and you have to go through settings and change them. Any games anyone would recommend? The game types I am into are MMORPG, FPS and Indie but I experiment on other types of games other than these.
No. I'm afraid that's not true.
Every single new game for PC is compatible with Windows 7, no exceptions. I don't know who told you that there are newly released games that aren't compatible with the OS, but they either have no idea what they are talking about or they are being dishonest.
Any PC game released in the past eight or nine years will run just fine on Windows 7 with no tweaking or settings changes required. Vista compatible games [any game released after 2006 or so] all work with Windows 7 natively because Windows 7 is based on Vista architecture. It's just optimized better and tweaked.
Even the vast majority of Windows XP games will run with no tweaking or settings changes required. There are a few, but they're rare and tend to be more than ten years old. Even then, it's not that hard to get them running due to compatibility options in Windows.
There are no games that require Windows 8 and there won't be any new games that won't run on Windows 7 for probably five or six years at least, probably longer.
Unless you're talking about games for Mac or Android. They wouldn't be compatible with Windows 7, but they are not PC games. They're Mac and Android games and are made for different hardware and operating systems.
PC Games means games for Windows. Android games are intended for devices like smartphones and tablets, and Mac games are for Mac computers. Android and Mac games won't run on Windows without an emulator of some kind. They aren't intended for Windows operating systems to begin with.
Another possibility for why a game might not run on Windows 7 is whether or not your hardware is good enough to run a game, but that's an issue with the components of your computer, not Windows 7. Getting a new OS won't fix that problem. There is no tweak or trick that's going to make a game play on hardware that isn't good enough to run it.
Only upgrading or replacing your hardware will do anything about that issue. Since you appear to be talking about a laptop, you'll probably have to buy a new and better laptop as they usually aren't really upgradable if that is what the problem is.
Your question is rather open ended and difficult to answer as it would require us to list pretty much every game released on PC in the last five years or so. I'd say more than five years if you hadn't specified 'new'.
You really can't expect us to list every single game that is compatible with Windows 7, we'd be posting all night and it would take hours. We don't know you well enough to put in that kind of effort.
A more reasonable question with an answer that is plausible for us to actually give is "What new PC games do not support Windows 7?" The answer is none of them.
It's kind of hard to recommend games without knowing your tastes. Telling us FPS games and MMOs is a start, but it's kind of vague. On top of that, we know nothing about your laptop aside from the fact that it's a laptop running Windows 7. We have no idea what the capabilities of your laptop are, we need to know what kind of GPU and CPU it has and how much Ram it has at least. Otherwise we're just guessing what might run on it. Just because it runs Windows 7 does not mean it will run all Windows 7 compatible games a lot of them may well be beyond the capabilities of your hardware.
Anyway, I can make a few recommendations about what games I've liked that were released in the past couple of years or so. I'm afraid I don't have enough information to do anything more than that. I'm assuming that you have a good laptop, so a lot of these games might not run if you have a cheap laptop with an underpowered CPU and GPU and very little Ram.
I should also mention that it's pretty likely that some of these games would only run on low or medium settings on a laptop even if it's got good hardware unless you have an uber powerful gaming laptop from Acer or Alienware or something. I'm guessing not.
Bioshock Infinite, Shadow Warrior [reboot], Farcry 3, Farcry 3 Blood Dragon, Borderlands 2, Metro Last Light, and Hard Reset are all good and fairly recent FPS games.
Neverwinter is a decent free to play MMO you might like, and Elder Scrolls Online comes out at the beginning of April. I've been playing the Beta and its epic. If you like MMO games you'll probably enjoy it.
Dirt 3 Showdown is a good driving game. Gas Guzzlers Extreme is much better than the title implies. Think Burnout but with guns on the cars.
Rayman Legends if you're into platformers. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 parts 1 and 2 are decent as well.
Metal Gear Rising is a good hack and slash kind of game. Deadpool is an amusing jaunt as well. DmC is decent, but not as good as the previous two in the series.
Guacamelee is a great metroidvania kind of game. Teslagrad is another similar title as well as Valdis Story Abyssal City and Dust an Elysian Tale. They all play similarly to Super Metroid or Castlevania SotN.
Tomb Raider is fun.
Saint's Row IV, Sleeping Dogs, and Lego Marvel Superheros are all good open world style games. Any of the Batman games, Arkham City, Arkham Asylum, or Arkham Origins are great games.
A few indie titles worth checking out are Dream, Gone Home, Outlast. The last is scary, but the first two are wandering about and experiencing the story. There is no combat or action, and some light puzzle solving involved. The puzzle solving is especially prominent in Dream.
Brothers - a Tale of Two Sons is also another excellent Indie title. It's fun and pretty and not very difficult.
Oniken is a retro style game, but it also has retro style difficulty.
Dungeons of Dreadmore, Spelunky, or Rogue Legacy if you're into Rogue type games. [All hard].
If you're into a Minecraft/Terraria kind of game Darkout is pretty cool.
If you want something that's difficult Dark Souls or Castlevania Lord of Shadows. LoS has a sequel coming out next month I think.
Syder Arcade is a fun bullet hell game.
Strike Suit Zero is a fun space shooter sim. It's not easy though, but very pretty and fast paced.
If you like fighting games Blazeblue or King of the Fighters XIII are both fun. Injustice God's Among us is a great DC themed fighter as well.
Skyrim is a decent RPG if you've not played it yet. Witcher 2 is a great but very mature RPG with a high difficulty level.
Dead Island is an okay survival horror title and the sequel is just as good.
It's hard to make recommendations for you. We don't know how old you are, what kind of games you like aside from a vague generality, or what your skill level is. All of that matters in this kind of topic.
