gaming in windows 7 ultimate x64

hey....guys....i ve been using windows 7 rc build 7057 for few months....and now i bought a original windows 7 x64 bit.....its very fast...but i am afraid it sucks up all my ram and in-built video card...can anyone suggest me an option?...mine is a dell inspiron 1525 with 3 gb ram and core2duo 1.86 ghz....can i afford to play games??....

No, the CPU is below range, the RAM is in short supply, and integrated graphics will die under gaming - you will get 3 or 4 FPS in Crysis.

You are better off with 4 gigs min. ram under x64, and a decent video card for pc games. Although alot of integrated chip sets have decent graphics I'd say they were not ment for gaming rigs.

It depends on what type of games you want to play... like Frostmourne says, you definitely won't be able to play current top of the line games and you'll likely have trouble playing even older games, if they require 3D hardware acceleration. If you do decide to try and game on this computer, be sure to read this article.

I haven't popped for a new graphics card yet (my old PC was AGP) but AOE2 and Unreal Tournament Gold play great with the onboard video. COD is a bit too much for it. Seems like anything DirectX7-ish and less seems to work good with new onboard graphics.
