GeForce Experience fails to install

I turned on my computer today and opened up GeForce Experience and it started updating by itself. It worked so I checked for updates again and it updated but failed and said something went wrong with the SHEILD driver and GeForce Experience failed to install. The GeForce Experience icon was still in the tray but it only showed update related things if I right click. So I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling again and same problem happened. Now, all I have is 3D Vision Driver, 3D Vision Controller Driver, Graphics Driver, HD Audio Driver, PhysX System Software, and Nvidia update. Should I just leave it as is since I have no use for GeForce Experience anymore?

Also, I exited the software before uninstalling and the icon is gone for now. It should probably come back as the Nvidia Control Panel icon after restart, right?

All you need is the graphics driver and PhysX. Unless you use the audio from the GPU then you need the HD Audio.

So can I leave it as is? Also, how do I use the update utility without GeForce Experience? There seems to be an option if I right click the tray icon for nvidia control panel.

The only way to update your graphics drivers without GF Experience is by going to the site.

I'm pretty sure they are referring to Nvidia Update.

Just subscribe to the GeForce drivers thread in the Graphics Card section then manually install new drivers when they're out. Really you shouldn't have to update every time unless there's some major benefit to you.

Oops, I meant Nvidia Update which just checks and takes you to the Nvidia site.

Ok, since most of the time the drivers are for optimizing games that I don't have.

There is a check for updates (it's for Nvidia Update) option when right clicking tray icon instead of GeForce Experience since I uninstalled it by the way.
