Hello!

I have some directory like: C:\contract\Bank_statements\self\main\2\ which I want to open in Windows Explorer (Windows 7).

I copy this path to Windows Explorer address bar and it opens the directory.

But I want on the left hand side of Windows Explorer to see the directory tree OPENED on this directory and not on Desktop. How to do this? Currently I need to click on lot of '+' in directory tree to consequently open each following directory to reach C:\contract\Bank_statements\self\main\2\ and this is really time-waisting.

Would appreciate any help in this subject.

Jery, thanks for this, but I don't want to add any folder I access to my Favorites. I just want to open any folder (distant from the Root) tree without clicking many times on '+', just straight away expand all the tree up to this folder.

Wondering why this Windows XP functionality vanished in Windows 7 and how other people work with Windows Explorer.

Cool, I found the solution, here it is:

In Windows Explorer click "Organize" button (top panel, Left) -> "Folder and search options" -> "Navigation Pane" check the box "Automatically expand to current folder".
