Getting BSOD with error Bad pool header

Getting BSOD with error "Bad pool header". Been looking around and have not been able to find a solution.

I have followed the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions and attaching the results here

Please help!

The BSODs are caused by Cisco Systems VPN Client DNE LightWeight Filter (c:\windows\system32\drivers\dnelwf64.sys)

Either update it from DNE Support - Deterministic Networks - Citrix as a try, or uninstall it.

BTW, you have multiple VPN clients installed.

Start Menu\Programs\OpenVPN Client

It may be conflicting. You need to take required action.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Hi Arc,
Thanks for your help. I have uninstall the Cisco VPN client and still getting BSOD. As to having more then one VPN client installed I work on my customers servers and they all have different VPNs so I have/had Cisco, Sonic Wall and OpenVPN installed.

After uninstalling the Cisco VPN client I got a BSOD with this error "System Service Exception"

Well, that DNE may be the part of any VPN service.

And, the latest crash dump points out to it, again.

I will uninstall all VPN clients and see which one is using it.

I have my desktop with the same VPN clients installed and no problems with the desktop.

I have uninstalled all VPN clients and the dnelwf64.sys is still in the drivers folder.

What are some other programs that could be using the same driver?

It is called Deterministic Network Enhancer (DNE). Most probably it is not used by anything other than VPN Clients ... at least I have not noticed.

Delete it manually in System32/drivers folder. Then observe th situation ... how it is running. Let us know for any further issue.

I have deleted the file and uninstall all VPN clients. If that will take care of it I will reinstall the clients by trying to find never versions.

I re-install OpenVPN and Sonic Wall. The file \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\dnelwf64.sys appeared again and would you know it, it starting crashing again with BSOD

Now I deleted the file again but did not uninstall the VPN clients and they both work fine. So I have no idea what the use is for the driver file.
