Hi,

I started getting some BSOD a couple of months ago. The first time in March, second time in April and then suddenly twice this week. Always happening while surfing the web.

There was a bunch of BSOD before in February, but it was related to the latest version of Norton Security.
I replaced it with Bit Defender.

Hope you can help me with this. I uploaded the file from the DM Log Collector.

Thanks!

Please run the DM Log Collector again and upload a new zip, the current uploaded one misses several logs.
You could check if there are
  1. 18 .txt,
  2. 1 .nfo,
  3. 1 or more .dmp,
files present, if this is the case then all logs are present :)
If there are a few missing, no problem as we can get them manually if required :)

Run this command in an admin command prompt, it'll create some files on the desktop. Select the files, copy them to a zip file and upload the zip.
Code:
copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\"&dxdiag /t %Temp%\dxdiag.txt&copy %Temp%\dxdiag.txt "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\SFdebugFiles\"&type %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\hosts.txt"&systeminfo > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt"&driverquery /v > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\drivers.txt" &msinfo32 /nfo "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\msinfo32.nfo"&wevtutil qe System /f:text > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\eventlog.txt"&reg export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall.txt"&reg export "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components" "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\installed.txt"&net start > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\services.txt"&REM wmic startup list full /format:htable >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.html"&wmic STARTUP GET Caption, Command, User >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.txt"

New files are attached.

The dxdiag.txt and startup.txt did not get created. I ran the command twice.

Do you think you can do without these?

Do you still use Norton or is this only a shortcut? Asking, because 2 AV's is in a single word conflicting.

I'm not using Norton anymore on this machine. These are just shortcuts.
It was uninstalled in February because the latest update caused BSOD during the PC boot.

There is a file called "productversion" in the BitDefender folder. It's dated from May 3rd, and the version is really 21.0.25.84.

That post on the French forum is from March 10. The latest version is from end of April.
I'm not sure the language makes a difference for the product version.

The language does make a difference for the product version, because they are less often updated than the english version.

In the past I had a complaint that Bitdefender wasn't updated in a long time, the support team explained to me that I had to either install the english version of Bitdefender or wait for updates for the dutch version.

I can't explain in another way why the french version isn't the same as the english version.

You seem convinced that BitDefender is the culprit.

Well, then I guess I should pick another anti-virus (again...).

Anyone in particular you would suggest?

I personally use Bitdefender.

I would not suggest Avast, AVG, McAfee and Avira. First 3 aren't very reliable per my experience + all mentioned are to my experience the AV's that cause the most BSODs relativily speaking.
