Getting You Tube Videos to play

I've encountered an issue with youtube videos, suddenly they won't play, this presents a problem for me because I'm taking an online course and the instructor posts video's and games as part of the assignments.
Can anyone help me?

If you're using Flash Player to view videos you can try and switch to the HTML5 player. Go to this page: YouTube
and click the button "Request the HTML5 player"

Which browser are you using? Have you tried to use a different browser?

In IE11 you can easily switch between the HTML5 and the Flash player for YouTube videos. In Firefox, there's an add-on for that kind of stuff. As for Chrome/Opera, I'm not sure, I think you can disable Pepper Flash in about:flags or something like that - I don't remember, haven't used Chrome in forever.
