I'd like to find a replacement for the aging Gmail Notifier. Actually, it's always worked well for me but it just won't save the login/password and asks me again on every reboot. Pretty lame I think.
There have been threads like this before but they're pretty old, and I haven't really found the right thing while Googling yet.
What I'd like:

I'm actually using Gdow right now. It would be perfect but won't let me re-read new email notifications so if I miss something, I have to open my browser every time.

What I'd like:
- Runs in the systray.
- Alerts on new mail with a sound and a small preview bubble.
- Rightclick ability to preview new messages again; doubleclick to open Gmail in my browser.
- No feature overload if possible...this is strictly for one single Gmail account.
- Simple, self-contained app...no need for .NET or similar runtimes.
