Godfather the Game Video Issues

Got this game for Fathers Day. Installed it no problem. First time firing it up, the Universal, EA and The Godfather banner video was blinking about once every second, on, blank, etc. The audio is fine. The startup menu video was fine til I went to family secrets and the same video issue popped up. I went to options and reduced the resolution from highest to lowest, restarted game, same thing. Quit, highlited the icon, properties, compatability and set to XP SP3 with all boxes checked. Same thing.

Any ideas?

That's what I would of thought. But I just finished building this machine. Video card is a AMD Radeon 6870,
  • 1GB GDDR5 memory
  • AMD Eyefinity technology
  • AMD CrossfireX multi-GPU
  • AMD EyeDefinition Graphics
  • EyeSpeed Technology
  • AMD HD3D technology
It isn't the video card

that still may be where the problem lies, your graphics card may be too advanced or may have, too good of parts as this has happend to other people with the newest of graphics cards before, just on other games but other than that I don't know what to tell ya

It works fine for me, the only thing is that I can't see the intro videos (Paramount logo and the movie logo) they appear as black screens.

ATi cards much bugged in some games

So are Nvidia cards. The Game itself is known to be very buggy. Thanks for not helping.

I'm not sure what your prob is though. Does the game play at all, or does it crash after the dodgy intros?
Make sure everything is up to date, video card drivers, directX, Microsoft Visual C++ runtime, etc.

Could be a simple fix, I've come across a couple games that had a similar problem and all I had to do is delete the intro vids from the game folder.
