Going Case Less

is it a good idea to have all fans (HDD cooling, Chassis) pointing the airflow inside, and the side panel fan pulling air out, or should i flip the back fan to pull air out of the case?

Typically the front fan and side fans intake and the rear exhausts.

Having the front and rear as intakes and the side as an exhaust is not the best option tbh.

I have mine like Smarty said, but if yours is cooling OK, leave it alone. I doubt if it will get any better.

I have mine like Smarty said, but if yours is cooling OK, leave it alone. I doubt if it will get any better.

Yup my current setting is perfect, cos i switched it to Smartys example, but it shot up into 50'C like crazy...

It really depends on your CPU cooler, if it's the stock cooler blowing air down then the side fan should blow air straight at that and the GPU and the air coming out the sides of the heatsink are then blown out the back (and top if available).

Even with a vertical fan heatsink using push/pull or whatever would normally be orientated to blow out the back working with the exhaust fan, but could easily be turned around to work with the case in the opposite direction, then it would only be efficient if the side fan was as close to the drive bays as possible for exhausting. I wouldn't want to do it that way without having top exhaust fan as well though.

So after all my rambling I'd say definitely have the back panel blowing out not in.
