Solved Google Chrome dont work with youtube search

Hi! When i go to youtube and try to search, i cant. The mouse pointer turns into a glove and i just cant search. Its very annoying and it has worked before.

What version of Google Chrome are you using?

Are you signed in when you try this?

That search works for me using 20.0.1132.57 - not signed in.

Im using version 21.0.1180.60m and i will try to sign out

Hmmm, the search works for me using that version (without the "m").

You might try:
re-install Chrome over top of the install that you have
uninstall Chrome & then re-install Chrome
new W7 user and install Chrome (just as a test)

Does YouTube's search field work for you while using another browser?

Yes, it works for every other browser except for Chrome

You could try to clean your browser cache?

Clearing the cache didn't work either. 'suck'

Java didnt work (java 7 update 5) and flash player updates when chrome updates. I'm running out of options here.

Well, the obvious answer would be to switch browser, but i just cant get away from chrome

What happens if you place your cursor in Chrome's address field and then press tab? For me, that places the cursor into the search field.

If updating to the latest beta does not help, then save the file attached to this post, rename it by removing the dot txt part, drag/drop it into Chrome. It should be just the top part of the YouTube page. Can you type in the search field now?
