Google Earth Freezes

Hello Folks. I've been ticking along very nicely except for Google Earth version 6.2.2.6613 which consistently freezes up on me and displays the 'Not Responding' message, usually when zooming out. Windows goes looking for a solution but none has been found. This fault has been present for some months now and I have essentially abandoned using it as a result. Anyone have any experience of this?

My kids use Google Earth, and they've never mentioned any freezes or problems. Has it only been with .6613?

I can't be totally certain but probably, yes, just since I did the upgrade back in April. I hadn't used it previously on my new system, then discovered Streetlevel viewing and got enthused again.

I've been in and done a repair on two occasions and also tried the various 'fix-it' options that Google was giving like deleting the cache and allowing a fresh one to generate etc but none of it worked, obviously.
