Hi there, I have an older Asus laptop with Win 7 (originally came with Vista). It has been working fine until October 24th, when I joined a new wifi network.

At some point the screen looked distorted, and eventually the laptop would show a BSOD and restart. I can get into safe mode, but now sometimes the distortion shows in safe mode as well.

What I have tried (prior to running the tool) without any change:
1. Uninstall ATI Catalyst drivers
2. Remove graphics card from device manager and re-identify graphics card
3. Install the latest ATI 3650 driver for Windows 7 64 bit https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...on-hd-3000-series/ati-mobility-radeon-hd-3650

Sometimes the issue with screen distortion starts already when the laptop boots up, other times it starts after 20 or 30 minutes.

Windows Update wasn't working. So I ended the WindowsUpdate Service, emptied the C:Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder and restarted the laptop. I should have restarted the service, however the graphics distortion didn't let me do that.

Currently, after searching for windows updates, it says there is an unknown error.

Any help is greatly appreciated <3!!! :)
