Graphics and mousepad drivers fail to load on restart

Ok so I recently moved from vista to windows 7 and everything is great except that about 40% of the time when I restart my computer, the mousepad and video card drivers don't load up. The mousepad stops responding and the resolution goes to 800x600. When I look in device manager those two drivers say they failed to initialize and need a restart, I will post the exact error messages soon. Then when I restart everything runs fine. But this consistently happens, I believe it happens everytime I install something new and then restart. I can't figure out how to stop this from happening, anyone know what to do?

Hello thegalph and Welcome to SevenForums,

A little more info about your computer would help.
Don't put the info in your next post but rather update your System Specs with the additional info.

WIN | type MSINFO32 | ENTER
WIN
is the key with the wavy flag.

Go to the ASUS website. Fetch the latest BIOS update (if yours isn't up-to-date) and fetch the latest WIN 7 drivers.

The ASUS install procedure will take care of the out-of-date drivers. You won't need to worry about uninstalling them. Just install the software you download from ASUS.

I have the exact same problem .. as thegalph, however this occured after 3 years of continues windows 7 usage .. there was no problem at the starting .. but now this is happening ... also to mention .. sometimes during the winters the laptop would trun off on its own , like i pulled out the battery or something... but now this problem is occuring .. the touchpad and graphics fail randomly. !!! Please tell me the cure if you have found something

thank yu
