Solved Group Policy Editor workaround Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and want to change something found in:

Group Policy Editor>Computer Configuration> AdministrativeTemplates> Windows Components

Is there a workaround?

Good information, but not an answer, now is it? I also would like to workaround the problem - without actually editing the registry. Personally, I'd like an actual answer to the question: is there a workaround?

Hello Nazman, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Simple actual answer is no in Group Policy, and yes in registry.

Windows 7 Home Premium does not include the Group Policy feature, so there is no other way to set a group policy in Windows 7 Home Premium other than using the registry. You can modify the registry using whatever method you like though.

Make sure to use the new domain of the Group Policy Search and stop using the deprecated gps.cloudapp... It will stopp working in the future.
