Just built new system and everything ok until installed nvidia drivers for the gpu. On reboot just a blank screen following the startup - didn't make it to the password log on. Had to restart in SAFE mode and roll back nvidia drivers.
Tried bot DVI and Dsub but no joy.

System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
dual core E5200 cpu
3 Gb ram
Nvidia Geforce GT220 %12MB 128 bit DDR2 gpu
ABIT AB9 Pro M/B

Any help appreciated

I've read that there have been some issues with drivers since 191.07,
other threads I've read have said that 190.62 has worked ok for them, maybe give them a try?

Also, I found this post which may work for you too. Seems like a few people are having the same problem as you with that card...

Thanks Orpheous, rang Scan and they reckon its a faulty gpu! Tried another monitor plus all combinations of DVI/Dsub with/without DVI to Dsub adapters - still no joy. Swapping for an ATI card!

You're welcome Woodskull, no problem :)
After all that you've been through with that card I'm glad your retailer is willing to swap it for you.
Happy New Year mate :)

Have you tried F8 with low resolution setting then updating the graphics like that?
Because i got a GTS250 today and that was a headache but working now.
Let me know

Just installed a Radeon HD4650 and what a difference! Immediately recognised by W7 and driver loaded automatically ( installed latest catalyst after). Leads me to believe that the Nvidia was faulty as w7 didnt recognise it upon the reboot following installation!!! Moral to this story -all's well that ends well and forget about the 12 hours of suffering in between:D
