Hi, this is only happening when my GTX 1080 is being used during gaming or used with BOINC.

The 1080's fans will go to 100% and the screen will go black.

Mouse and keyboard won't work and I have to hold down the power button on the PC and reboot.

It can happen after 1 minute or 1 hour, there is no pattern.

The card is not overheating, MSI afterburner has it at about 60 degrees C.

Windows and NVidia drivers are up to date.

Any suggestions please? Thanks

Hi,
Not sure if it's still true or not in the asus 1080 but their 980 hates high resolutions and only as high as 144Hz
Is okay using msi afterburner though but gpu tweak it is total garbage

My evga 980 hybrid = reference card performs better
So yea asus is off my gpu consideration list :)
