My friends half week old computer random black screens when booting.
Like the title says, my friend got a half week old computer and sometimes when booting he gets random black screens. (My another not so experienced friend assembled it because i was too busy.)
When that happens he has to force computer to shutdown.
Also when these random black screens occur the usb devices wont turn on.
One thing i noticed when he get black screens is things like dvd tray will open.(So it´s not most likely cpu related.)
He has to start machine couple of times to get system working proberly.
Most common scenario when this all happen is cold boot after night etc.
Another thing what concerns me is the fact he got three different bluescreens today when he was booting the system after school.
I´ve looked into it but i´m still kind of newb(been messing with computers couple of years) so i have no idea what the problem would be so this is where SF steps in. D:
I wasn´t there on the scene so i don´t know what are the exact BSODs he got but i asked him to give me all info zipped for SF-Diagnostic tool and i´ve attached it on this topic.
Last but not the least, i but his system specs below:
Windows 7 ultimate x64 build 7601
Mobo: Asus 99X AM3+ with UEFI BIOS(don´t remember exact model)
CPU: AMD PH II 960T 4x 3.0ghz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950 2gb XFX Dual fan edition
RAM: Corsair vengeance low profile 2x4gb White edition
PSU: Cooler master GX-lite 500W
He uses aftermarket cpu cooler but don´t remember what one, also his case is antec basic case but don´t remember that name either.
At this point i think this is enough info, and i want to thank you in advance!
