thuis wouldn't work anyway, it's DirectX 10 only, wouldn't even recognise the disc in XP

How to fix mouse stutter/lag - The Halo Forum

ATI and NVidia user guide

The most severe of these seems to be mouse stuttering. Thats when your mouse stops alot when you're looking around. This makes it look like your mouse sensitivity is very low.
This is caused by having really high frame rates during game play. I've been playing around with different frame rates at work and anything over 100 FPS gives me mouse stutter. 300 FPS and I can hardly look around.
Some of you have tried to get around this by setting your mouse sensitivity to 10 but that doesn't really fix the problem it just masks it.
I have a temporary sollution for you people by limiting the frame rates by turning Vsync on.
Edit: This only works in Fullscreen Mode.

Edit: Also, if you alt tab out of the game it will nullify the effects of this fix. You will have to relaunch Halo 2.
For Nvidia users:
1. Right click on your desktop
2. Click NVIDIA Control Panel
3. Select Advanced Settings
4. Click Manage 3D Settings
5. Click on the Program Settings Tab
6. Click Add
7. Select halo2.exe ( c:\program files\microsoft games\Halo 2 )
8. Scroll to the bottom of the settings for Halo2.exe and force Vsync ON
9. Click Apply
10. Play!

For ATI users:
1. Right click on your desktop
2. Click ATI Catalyst Control Center
3. Click on 3D
4. Click on All Settings
5. Scroll down to "Wait for vertical refresh"
6. Move it to the right until it says "On until application specifies"
7. Click Apply
8. Play!

I hope this helps some of you! Please reply if it works for you
