Hello all, I am having a hang/freeze issue with my custom build. It occurs intermittently; seems like it does it one day and not the next. The symptoms:
mouse cursor seems to get stuck in certain cursor shapes. By this I mean if I mouse over a text field the cursor might go to the "I" shaped text cursor and stay that way, even after the mouse leaves the field; or if I mouse over a hyperlink the cursor might turn into the pointing hand and stay that way, even after the mouse moves away
I sometimes get hangs that last from 5 to 30 seconds where the mouse will not move and nothing is happening on the screen. I have not noticed this in games, mainly when browsing the internet or moving files/folders around in explorer
probably unrelated, but in the name of completeness: I am having a lot of crashes (of the game) in Starcraft 2. It seems like around half the time when I try to start the game, it fails to launch, and I can't alt out then back in without it crashing, and it crashes at other times as well. Have tried reinstalling with no success
So far I haven't had any system crashes or blue screens, but a few times the hang has lasted so long that I just did a hard reset. Have used memtest to check the RAM, everything came back good there. I am about to run a checkdisk on my OS drive as well. Happy to provide any additional information that might help.
Thanks for reading!

Well reading your first post again it sound like you have more than a mouse problem. The Microsoft mouse 3000 is considered a good mouse for the money. Try another mouse and if that doesn't help I would suggest post here in our Forum. BSOD Help and Support - Windows 7 Help Forums
Many times they can help with crashes even if you don't get a BSOD.
