SATA II drive and Win7 and it zips away! Yay!
Be aware that almost any drive you can buy today will have been manufactured by Western Digital or Seagate, regardless of the name on the label. There are others but usually sold to OEMs. Which one is better is simply a matter of opinion.

The WD Black series is designed for performance with quite operation being secondary. The Green series is likely to be quieter and consume less power, but with somewhat lower performance. And the warranty is only 3 years as opposed to 5 for the Black series.

SSD drives are currently quite expensive. Many people consider the cost is worth the performance benefits, others do not. Improved manufacturing techniques and a larger market share will bring down prices, just as happened with conventional drives.
