Hi everyone,
I installed Ubuntu on my computer a few months ago and created another partition for it on my 1TB hard drive.

I didn't really care for Ubuntu so I decided to delete the partition it was on. :geek:
That might have been a mistake. :(

Well, now there's 87.68GB of free space on my hard disk that I can't use and I don't know how to add it back to my c: partition. :o

There was another post about this a couple years ago, but I don't understand the instructions and am not actually sure if it worked. Can someone explain how to do this, please?

I'm not completely computer illiterate, but I'm not familiar with partitioning disks. It was just the one time with Ubuntu.

The unallocated area is actually an empty extended partition. You need to delete that first.

You'll see Delete Volume in Disk Mgmt to delete the Free Space and change it to Unallocated. Partition or Volume - Delete

Then you can extend C into it by as much as you want, create a new partition there: Partition or Volume - Extend
Partition or Volume - Create New

The 6 gb Partition at right end of HD. Is that an HP Recovery partition for preinstalled Win7 that will boot HP System Recovery ? Have you generated your Recovery disks off of it? If you don't need it you can delete it as well to use that space, too, as given above.

Finally, the HP factory preinstalled Win7 has the worst load of crapware on it in the industry, which throttles Win7 from its native performance. Most tech enthusiasts prefer to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. At the minimum I would Clean Up Factory Bloatware
