Hardware reserved memory need help

ive got 2gb memory but it says here that only 1 gb is usable..can anyone help me with this?

First 2 gigs isnt enough.

In win 7 the OS takes about 1/2 to put into fast cache for when you open an app. I suspect the rest is shared video memory.
