OMG yes! I literally spend half my waking life whistling! I can do it quite well now! While breathing in and out, the volume can be controlled accurately, not just loud for high notes, and quite for soft notes. Can vary how strongly I breath, to give a crisp or windy sound. lol

A little trick. Put your thumb nail just outside your lips, and whistle outwards. Tilt your thumb around. It will be nothing special. At one perfect angle, it will make the sound of a reed, and sound phenomenal. Don't settle with anything less than perfection, as you need to find exactly the right angle.
