I am having problems when opening some folders like "Videos" or "Downloads". I searched for an answer here and i found a thread saying to do this: run>cmd>sfc /scannow. i did it and found this after:

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log For Example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"

what should i do to fix this? thanks for the replies :)

not sure if the scan fixes those errors, but have you tried accessing your folders now?
what is the error message you get when you try to access the folders you've mentioned?

when i click one of the files in the folder 'Videos', something pops up it says,"Windows explorer has stopped working". then, it closes the folder. after that, i can no longer open that folder without restarting my computer.

history: i have one disk drive and it is divided into two; DATA(C:) and DATA(H:). DATA C: has 146 GB while the other has 319GB. DATA C: is like our main drive. it stores the installed stuffs in the computer. it is also the location for downloaded files. one day it became full. my idea was to transfer the location of downloaded files into DATA H:. i also transferred the stored movies into DATA H: but before, it was in the Libraries>Videos. now my problem is everytime i go to Computer>DATA H:>Videos i get to see this pop up saying the Windows explorer has stopped working.

one more thing, the folder "Videos" has a yellow lock on its icon. what does that mean?

It means it is not shared. That is all.

Rather than just clicking on the file - have you tried: Open With (in the sub menu) - then point it to the player that you want?
